Background

Australia In Style is a biennial hard-cover coffee table book featuring unique travel experiences from across Australia. The project is a joint venture between the publishing arm of iconic heritage brand R.M. Williams and Australian luxury travel specialist, The Tailor.

With spectacular photography and in-depth stories on more than thirty resorts, tours and destinations in each edition, Australia in Style is regarded as the ‘bible of luxury travel’ for regional, outback, and remote Australia.

Words and photos for luxury travel books

Brief

Working closely with R.M. Williams Publishing Special Projects Editor, content was created for eleven chapters across the past two editions.

Assignments were carried out throughout Australia, from the Great Barrier Reef and Port Douglas in far north Queensland to the spectacular Flinders Ranges in South Australia, aboard luxury cruise ships and vintage yachts in Tasmania and the Southern Ocean, and at Uluru in the Northern Territory.

Each assignment required a suite of photos incorporating food, architecture, people, wildlife, and the natural environment particular to the resort, destination or experience, plus a feature-length article detailing and distilling its unique qualities.

Outcome

Two spectacular editions of Australia in Style are testament to the incredible beauty and diversity of experience possible in regional and remote Australia and the publications are highly regarded by travellers and tourism operators for the quality of the content.
