Background
Zoos Victoria is a leading Australian conservation organisation committed to fighting extinction through breeding, research, and education. Its three sites are home to a diverse range of species from around the world and offer incredible opportunities to inspire the next generation of conservationists through its unique and highly regarded Schools Program. The program offers learning opportunities for students from early childhood through to VCE, VCAL, and tertiary levels, and includes more than forty on-site excursion opportunities.

Brief
The education section of the Zoos Victoria website is an important resource for teachers when researching activities appropriate for their students. Each program required an inspiring image of engaged students that also provided insight into the experience.
Outcome
Shot over multiple days across three sites, the success of the shoot relied heavily on a strong working relationship with Zoos Victoria Education Programs Manager to ensure talent, props, and activities were in place during busy shooting schedules.
Careful direction of talent, ranging in ages from 4 to 17 years old, produced a suite of images of engaged students participating in a range of learning activities that help Zoos Victoria educate the next generation of extinction fighters.
