Brief

Fully capturing the occasion required the creation of four videos: a montage capturing the journey of the millionth tonne from farm to bulk carrier at the port; a pretend ‘live-stream’ feed of the grain being loaded onto the ship to be played on loop at the commemorative event; an interview with company founder, Jim Riordan, about the milestone, for news media; and a final brand video celebrating the story and achievements of the company.

Outcome

Filming began on a misty dawn with a bright red Riordan truck loading a farmer’s grain and continued through to unloading onto a bulk-carrier at the port. Jim’s interview was conducted on-site at the port and footage of trucks, conveyors, shipping, grain, and personnel was captured to tell the story of Riordan’s success.

Artful shooting and expert editing lent beauty and romance to what is essentially a logistical exercise, and the client received a package of high-quality video assets to commemorate the event and enhance and promote their brand.

Background

Riordan Grain is a major Australian player in the global grain market, providing fully integrated services from farm to consumer.  The company recently celebrated loading its millionth tonne of bulk-export grain and commemorated the milestone with a celebratory event and video package.

The entire project, including celebratory event and media campaign, was managed by PR firm Rivergum Communications, who put together a team, including Cormac Creative Studios to execute the brief.  Cormac’s role was video production.
